Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in kids is a developmental disorder where they may have difficulty in understanding and communicating with the world around them. This is because Autism affects information processing in the brain. In addition, they may also face problems in learning new words, making friends, adjusting to changes, and so on. There is no known cure and not many kids can live independently as they grow into adults. Kids with Autism are often teased and feel left out but they too deserve love and respect like other kids. Patience is the key while interacting with them but not everyone has an excellent patience level.
Cub McPaws addressed this concern and spoke to an expert in the field, Dr. Roopa Srinivasan, a child developmental pediatrician.
